National Geographic publishes an article on the Aral Sea issue
Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with Ryan Alexander, Senior Director of Partnerships at the National Geographic Society.
The parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in the scientific, media, and educational spheres, as well as prospects for collaboration with the editorial and production teams of National Geographic Channel and National Geographic Magazine. The parties agreed to establish sustainable and systematic mechanisms for further cooperation.

The implementation of joint documentary film projects was also discussed. It was noted that such projects would help promote Uzbekistan’s natural, historical, and tourism potential on the international stage. The American side expressed readiness to develop specific projects for direct cooperation with media teams.
An article on the Aral Sea issue has been published in National Geographic Magazine. It was emphasized that this article is of significant importance in drawing the attention of the international community to the region’s environmental challenges.
As part of cultural cooperation, a 1918 historical photograph of the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah was presented to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. The photograph, taken by Maynard Owen Williams, was recognized as a significant contribution to the development of photojournalism.
