ICDV&C 2026: Current issues in dermatovenereology and aesthetic medicine
Tashkent hosted an international scientific and practical conference focused on current issues in dermatovenereology and medical cosmetology.
Organized jointly by the Ministry of Health, the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology, and the Association of Dermatovenereologists and Cosmetologists of Uzbekistan, the prestigious event brought together international scientific research and clinical practice on a single platform.
The event drew leading specialists, renowned scientists and international experts from more than 20 countries, including the United States, Russia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, Iran, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It has brought together dermatovenereologists, cosmetologists, allergists-immunologists, rheumatologists, oncologists, infectious disease specialists, pathomorphologists, pediatricians and other related medical professionals.

At the opening ceremony, Ulugbek Sabirov, Director of the Republican Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology Center and President of the Association of Dermatovenereologists of Uzbekistan, highlighted the importance of strengthening professional cooperation, improving the quality of medical care, and bringing innovative technologies into wider clinical use.
The conference’s comprehensive scientific program covered a range of important topics, including pediatric dermatology, analysis of complex clinical cases, new technologies in aesthetic medicine, current challenges in dermatology, trichology and podiatry, dermatoses, and psychodermatology.

“Medical cosmetology and trichology are rapidly developing, and demand for these services among the population is increasing sharply. However, it is essential to strictly adhere to healthcare and safety standards and ensure that qualified medical professionals perform scientifically validated procedures. The issues raised at ICDV&C 2026 and the exchange of views among specialists will help identify scientifically grounded solutions to these pressing challenges”, said Fotima Azimova, Director of the Association of Dermatovenereologists of Uzbekistan.

During the event, medical professionals also offered several important recommendations for maintaining healthy skin and preventing skin diseases. In particular, specialists emphasized the need to consistently protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation, maintain adequate hydration of the body and skin by drinking sufficient water throughout the day, follow a healthy and balanced diet, and strictly avoid using potent hormonal ointments or unverified cosmetic products without medical supervision, especially when recommended by social media sources or unqualified individuals.

The conference also featured a special competition for young scientists, scientific sessions, and hands-on workshops to support early-career researchers.
