Uzbekistan’s taekwondo team welcomed in Tashkent
A ceremonial welcome was held at Tashkent International Airport for the Uzbekistan national team delegation, which competed with dignity at the Asian Senior Taekwondo Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
It was attended by the leadership of the Uzbekistan Taekwondo Association, the sports community, media representatives, and the athletes’ relatives.
A total of 666 athletes from 37 Asian countries competed in the championships.

Uzbekistan’s national team finished the tournament with 2 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals – 11 medals in total.

Ozoda Sobirjonova (-67 kg) and Svetlana Osipova (+73 kg) won gold medals. Madina Mirabzalova (-57 kg), Diyorbek Tukhliboyev (-68 kg), Jasurbek Jaysunov (-80 kg), Yodgorbek Juraboyev (-87 kg), and Marat Mavlonov (+87 kg) won silver medals. Bronze medals went to Jakhongir Khudoyberdiyev (-54 kg), Omonjon Otajonov (-58 kg), Nazarali Nazarov (-63 kg), and Najmiddin Qosimkhodjayev (-74 kg).
