Uzbekistan’s athletes achieve notable success at the Asian Aquatics Championships
Uzbekistan’s athletes are delivering impressive performances at the Asian Youth Aquatics Championships in Thailand.
Muhammadismoil Rakhmonov secured the gold medal in the U18 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:16.17. This achievement marked the first medal of its kind in Uzbekistan’s national team history for this age category.
Parizod Abdukarimova finished third in the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 29.85 seconds. She also won a bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke, clocking 1:04.17.

In the women’s water polo competition, Uzbekistan defeated Singapore 13-8. In the men’s competition, Uzbekistan’s athletes first beat Saudi Arabia 16-6, then India 22-15.

The championships will continue until July 25.
