Uzbekistan students take part in space experiments in Moscow
Uzbekistan’s team successfully presented its scientific and engineering project at the first International Space Games “ORBIT–2026”, held at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow.
The TIIAME ORBIT team from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University (TIIAME) delivered a strong performance at the event, which brought together talented young scientists and engineers from around the world.

The young researchers presented original developments in space biology and engineering for extreme environments, demonstrating strong scientific and technical expertise.

During the trials, participants studied how living organisms adapt to extreme conditions and carried out tasks involving autonomous life-support systems and engineering support as part of complex simulated Mars missions.

A key stage of the project involved launching a specialized research device into the stratosphere. The experiment aimed to study how slugs, bacteria and worms respond to unusual environmental conditions. Sensors on the device recorded temperature, pressure and other key parameters. After the flight, the researchers analyzed the changes observed in the living organisms.
