Uzbekistan plans to create a network of electric vehicle charging stations in partnership with China
A meeting was held in Hong Kong as part of the Uzbekistan – China Economic Forum between Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association, and Wang Qi, head of China Southern Power Grid.
The parties discussed producing modern electric-vehicle charging stations in Uzbekistan, expanding technological cooperation in this area, and implementing joint investment projects.
China Southern Power Grid is one of the world’s largest operators in the energy and power grid sector. The company serves more than 270 million consumers and implements large-scale projects in smart energy systems, power grid digitalization, and the development of electric vehicle charging station infrastructure.
Following the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached to expand cooperation, including implementing joint projects in the areas discussed.
