Uzbekistan delegation participates in the 29th session of the CIS Intergovernmental Council

Minsk hosted the 29th session of the CIS Intergovernmental Council on Exploration, Use and Protection of Mineral Resources.

Uzbekistan delegation led by Nafisa Dulabova, Head of the Regional and Ore Geology Department at the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, attended the session.

The participants reviewed a report on progress under the Intergovernmental Council’s Long-Term Action Plan for 2023-2030.

Representatives of the Uzbekistan delegation presented information on progress in developing geological research in the country, creating digital geological maps, and establishing a unified national geological database.

During the event, participants discussed current issues related to geological exploration of mineral resources, digitalization of the sector, and developing information exchange among the geological services of CIS member states. Participants also shared their experience in these areas.

Following the session, additional priorities were identified to advance cooperation in geology and to expand the exchange of experience and information.
