Uzbekistan and Türkiye discuss the development of cultural cooperation
During the 3rd International Dance Festival “Lazgi” in Khiva, the third meeting of the Joint Commission of Uzbekistan and Türkiye on cultural issues was held.
The event aimed to strengthen bilateral cultural ties, advance ongoing initiatives, and identify new areas of cooperation.

The Uzbek delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Murodjon Majidov, while the Turkish delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, Batuhan Mumcu. The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant agencies and organizations from both countries, including institutions responsible for cultural heritage, museums, the film industry, and the theatrical and performing arts.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the implementation of agreements reached at the previous meeting in 2025 and discussed jointly implemented projects. Special attention was given to issues of preserving and promoting cultural heritage, developing museum cooperation, creating joint film projects, expanding exchanges among creative groups, and organizing cultural events.

Following the meeting, specific measures were developed to deepen cultural interaction and implement new joint initiatives.
