Uzbekistan and Russia: New stage of strategic partnership and alliance
A meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan Alexey Yerkhov took place in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Issues of deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, expanding multifaceted cooperation and increasing the effectiveness of inter-parliamentary ties were discussed in detail at the meeting with the Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva.

The parties noted that, thanks to the firm political will of the leaders of the two countries, relations between the two countries are developing based on mutual trust and open, constructive dialogue, and are reaching a new level.
In recent years, the noticeable intensification of cooperation between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Russia, mutual visits, joint events and a regular dialogue mechanism have strengthened the practical partnership between the two countries. Large-scale joint initiatives and projects in the political, trade-economic, investment, nuclear energy, cultural-humanitarian, and educational spheres bring relations between Uzbekistan and Russia to a qualitatively new level.
The parties expressed their willingness to continue close cooperation in expanding inter-parliamentary and interregional ties.
