Uzbekistan adopts German experience in inclusive education
As part of the School of Kindness project, training seminars were held for teachers from Uzbekistan’s hospital schools and the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami, with participation by specialists from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), specialized educational centers for children with special needs, and the hospital school at Schwabing Hospital.
The specialists from Uzbekistan studied Germany’s experience in providing education for children undergoing long-term medical treatment and creating an inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs, including children with autism spectrum disorders and behavioral difficulties. Particular attention was paid to individualizing the educational process and reintegrating students into mainstream schools.
During the seminars, participants discussed developing a national model of hospital education, modern German educational practices, and prospects for international cooperation in scientific research.
