Uzbek FM meets with the Ambassador of Iran

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan, Mohammad Ali Eskandari.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current situation in the region, paying special attention to the risks of further escalation, which could lead to serious humanitarian issues and security threats.

“We once again reaffirmed our unwavering and principled position that all disagreements and disputes must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means, via dialogue and diplomacy”, Mr. Saidov noted.
