Tennis: Laima Vladson succeeds in Italy

Laima Vladson is representing Uzbekistan’s honor at the W35 San Gregorio 2026 Tennis Tournament in Italy.

In the first round of qualifying, Uzbekistan’s player defeated Malkia Ngounoue from the USA 3-6, 7-6, 10-8, and in the semifinals, beat Noemi Basiletti, the host country’s representative, 6-4, 6-0.

Laima Vladson will compete against Sophie Luescher from Switzerland in the tournament’s main draw.

In doubles, Laima, alongside Anastasiia Sobolieva of Ukraine, will compete in the quarterfinals with the duo of Joelle Lilly Sophie Steur from Germany and Nina Vargova from Slovakia.
