Tatarstan invites to KazanForum 2026
Tatarstan has invited representatives from Uzbekistan to participate in the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”, scheduled for May 12-17 in Kazan.
Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan, announced the invitation during the Uzbekistan – Russia conference organized by the Valdai Discussion Club and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan.
The event takes place in Surkhandarya region, the southern part of the country, which is actively building interregional ties with Tatarstan. It should be noted that the parties signed a cooperation agreement in 2023. During the conference, a thematic session titled “Surkhandarya – Tatarstan: achievements and potential of interregional cooperation” was also held.
According to Rustem Gainullov, trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and Surkhandarya region shows consistent positive growth. Interest in expanding cooperation is evident in regular mutual visits by entrepreneurs and in the organization of joint forums and exhibitions.
“I would especially like to highlight the participation of Surkhandarya region in the International Economic Forum ‘Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum’. This year, it will be held in May. I would like to take this opportunity to invite all of you to join this event. Over the past two years, by decision of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, it has been granted federal status. This is a place to find new partners and sign new contracts”, emphasized Rustem Gainullov.
