Tashkent hosts Global Business Services Forum
The Global Business Services Forum (GBSF) 2026 is being held in Tashkent on July 24-25. It is the largest international platform in Central Asia dedicated to developing global business services, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence.
The event gathers over 450 executives from international companies, investors, government officials, and industry experts representing more than 45 countries.

At the opening ceremony, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov highlighted that widespread reforms in Uzbekistan have established a contemporary and competitive environment for the growth of the information technology industry.
The Minister highlighted that Uzbekistan’s main strength is its young and talented workforce. Additionally, the country’s reforms are gaining growing international acknowledgment, especially as Uzbekistan was named Country of the Year 2026 – recognizing it as having the most rapidly developing startup ecosystem.

The forum moved forward with discussions on current trends in global business services. The sessions covered topics such as the growth of service operations, workforce development, transforming business processes, and integrating artificial intelligence into global service centers.
Several memorandums were signed to foster the development of Uzbekistan’s global business services ecosystem and enhance international collaboration. Notably, IT Park Uzbekistan and Sonect (Teleperformance) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation focused on IT outsourcing and BPO, joint project execution, and experience sharing.
