Steady economic growth strengthens the desire of foreign countries to cooperate with Uzbekistan
At the plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, it was noted that the international community recognizes Uzbekistan’s role on the world stage and the country’s achievements in the socio-economic sphere.
According to the International Monetary Fund, Uzbekistan maintains steady economic growth amid high economic activity.
– This year we have risen by 14 positions in the Index of Economic Freedom and for the first time entered the category of countries with a moderately free economy, – said the Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva. – At the 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank held in Samarkand with the participation of the President of Uzbekistan, the scale, results, and prospects of the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan were highly appreciated by international partners. Such recognition reinforces foreign countries’ interest in cooperating with Uzbekistan.

As an example, a recent statement by Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, who visited Uzbekistan, was cited, noting the growing interest of Czech companies in Uzbekistan’s market.
Similar assessments were made at the Second Asian Women’s Forum in Bukhara and the Meeting of Women Leaders of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, which was attended by representatives of over 20 foreign countries and reputable international organizations.
It should be noted that these events were aimed at expanding women’s political, economic, social, and environmental opportunities. Important regional and global trends and challenges in gender policy, as well as issues related to countering climate change, poverty, inequality, and various forms of discrimination, were discussed during the forums.
Issues of scientific cooperation, joint research, and the implementation of startup projects were also actively discussed with the participation of women scientists.
As a result of the Second Asian Women’s Forum, the Bukhara Declaration was adopted, reflecting a common position on increasing women’s participation in government and public administration, enhancing their economic potential, and ensuring social protection and security. As a result of the Dialogue, a Communique was adopted to expand scientific cooperation among women scientists.
International documents will become an important basis for the development of modern approaches and practical mechanisms aimed at reliably protecting women’s interests and increasing their socio-economic, political, scientific, and educational activity.
