Shanghai hosts the Uzbekistan – China “10+10” Think Tank Forum
The Uzbekistan – China “10+10” Think Tank Forum, titled “A New Stage in Uzbekistan – China Relations: Shared Vision and Shared Future”, convened in Shanghai.
The event was organized by the Shanghai Academy of Global Governance and Area Studies and the Development Strategy Center of Uzbekistan.
This high-level platform is essential for strengthening institutional cooperation between think tanks and universities of the two countries, deepening mutual understanding and developing constructive political dialogue.
The forum was attended by Eldor Tulyakov, Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of academic circles and political scientists from domestic and foreign universities.
The participants discussed the prospects for a comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as the implementation of reforms within the framework of national documents – the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy and China’s five-year program for 2026-2030.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, issues of regional connectivity, security and stability, as well as areas of long-term cooperation for 2030-2050.
The experts highly appreciated the dynamics of Uzbekistan – China relations, emphasizing the current level of mutual trust and practical cooperation in key areas.
The Chinese side expressed its readiness to expand the dialogue between think tanks and academic institutions of the two countries.
It was emphasized that the agreement reached and the recommendations developed will strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and China.
