Samarkand to host the Eighth GEF Assembly
From May 30 to June 6, Samarkand will host the Eighth Global Environment Facility Assembly.
The event will include the Eco Expo Central Asia 2026, which aims to develop a green economy, introduce innovative technologies, and strengthen international cooperation in sustainable development and environmental protection.
The exhibition will be organized by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Business Congress Management.
The event will be attended by representatives of the Global Green Growth Institute, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and other international organizations and companies.

The event is expected to draw about 10,000 visitors.
The exhibition will feature more than 60 pavilions devoted to eco-products and services.
The event will feature project proposals for international investors focused on adapting Uzbekistan’s regions to climate change, promoting the rational use of natural resources, and ensuring environmental stability.
