Prime Minister of India presents Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a historic scoresheet from Javokhir Sindarov’s game
During his recent state visit to Uzbekistan, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi presented President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a unique gift.
This is the original scoresheet filled out by Grandmaster Javokhir Sindarov during the 2025 FIDE World Cup final.
In last year’s tournament final in Goa, India, which took place from October 31 to November 27, Javokhir Sindarov defeated Chinese Grandmaster Wei Yi. This victory made him the youngest champion ever in the history of the FIDE World Cup and earned him a spot in the Candidates Tournament.
Narendra Modi presented the valuable commemorative gift, which records the moves of the historic game, along with a photograph of Javokhir Sindarov with the flag of Uzbekistan draped over his shoulders.
The All India Chess Federation (AICF) called the event a true example of chess diplomacy that fosters friendship between the two nations.
