President of Uzbekistan receives a delegation from Belarus

As part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Turchin.

The distinguished guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the President of Uzbekistan.

The current issues related to expanding relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus within a multifaceted partnership were discussed in the context of preparing for upcoming high-level events.

The productive outcomes of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting held in Tashkent region in May this year were noted with satisfaction.

Trade turnover continues to grow steadily, increasing by 32 percent since the beginning of the year. Ongoing cooperation projects are active in agriculture, mechanical engineering, and other sectors.

The need to implement coordinated measures to boost trade and economic cooperation, and enhance cultural, humanitarian, and interregional exchanges was highlighted.
