President of Uzbekistan meets with Prime Minister of Cambodia

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Hun Manet on the sidelines of the CICA Summit in Baku.

The prospects for further developing practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Cambodia were discussed.

The importance of establishing regular political dialogue and expanding interparliamentary, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, as well as cooperation in tourism, was emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to practical measures to increase bilateral trade, including organizing exhibitions to showcase the industrial potential of both countries and arranging visits by business delegations.

To this end, the sides agreed to accelerate preparations for key agreements on trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Views were exchanged on the current international and regional issues, including ways to maintain close cooperation within the UN, SCO, ASEAN, the Non-Aligned Movement and other international organizations.
