President of Uzbekistan discusses strengthening the strategic partnership with U.S. Senator
On September 3, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Senator Steve Daines, Co-Chair of the U.S. Senate Central Asia Caucus.
The U.S. Senator sincerely congratulated the President and the people of Uzbekistan on the country’s 35th anniversary of independence, wishing them peace, well-being, and prosperity.

Issues for strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, as well as for developing interparliamentary cooperation, were reviewed.
Satisfaction was expressed with the unprecedentedly high level of bilateral cooperation achieved in recent years, as well as the strong momentum in contacts and exchanges among delegations.

Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Major projects are being consistently implemented across energy, critical minerals, transportation, agriculture, digital technologies, and industry.
The prospects for expanding interregional cooperation were discussed separately, particularly with the state of Montana, which the Senator represents.

Views were also exchanged on regional cooperation within the C5+1 format and on pressing issues on the international and regional agenda.
