President of Uzbekistan begins an official visit to Serbia

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, has arrived in Belgrade on an official visit.

Serbian Air Force fighter jets escorted the President’s aircraft through Serbian airspace.

At Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and his spouse welcomed the distinguished guests.

The national flags of the two countries were raised, and a guard of honor was lined up.

The main events of the visit will take place tomorrow. According to the program, high-level Uzbekistan – Serbia talks and a business forum bringing together government and business representatives from both countries are scheduled.

Following the talks, a substantial package of bilateral documents is expected to be adopted.
