Poverty reduction based on China’s experience
Hokim of Jizzakh region Ulugbek Mustafoyev met with representatives of a Chinese delegation.
The meeting was attended by Wu Zhong, Director-General of the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation.
The discussions focused on implementing joint poverty reduction projects drawing on China’s experience.
Wu Zhong praised the potential of Jizzakh region and announced plans to send a Chinese representative to the region in the near future to serve as an advisor and facilitate the exchange of expertise in this field.
Prospects for processing and exporting agricultural products were also discussed with representatives of Shanghai Yutian.
During the negotiations, a proposal was put forward to implement an agro-industrial project to establish an integrated production chain, create new jobs, and increase household incomes. The project would also expand opportunities to export products from Jizzakh region to markets in the United States, Europe, and China.
The parties expressed their readiness to introduce advanced technologies, attract investment and develop mutually beneficial ties.
The talks concluded with an agreement to sign a memorandum on establishing cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.
