Over 80,000 facts have been collected for the Uzbek Wikipedia
The Youth Affairs Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, organized an event highlighting the WikiSfera II camp and the WikiMarafon project.
The Uzbek Wikipedia is the largest digital encyclopedia and plays a key role in promoting and preserving cultural heritage.

The project was launched in 2003 and has been actively developed, expanding its database and promoting the spread of knowledge among the population. State support and public initiatives, including large-scale information marathons, have contributed to the growing popularity and authority of the Uzbek Wikipedia in Central Asia.

About 120 young people participated in the WikiSfera II camp. For six days, the youth, with experienced mentors, mastered the skills of creating and editing articles and preparing high-quality content for the Uzbek Wikipedia.

During the camp’s operation, more than 80 thousand facts were collected on the Ziyosfera platform to improve the quality of information on the Uzbek Wikipedia.
As noted at the event, the Uzbek Wikipedia now has over 366,000 articles and more than 6 million edits.
Currently, the Uzbek Wikipedia ranks 39th in the global Wikipedia rankings. Each new article contributes to expanding and enriching the Uzbek-language knowledge base.
