New investment opportunities within the decarbonization program

Events of the three-day dialogue within the framework of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) Industry Decarbonization Program were held in Tashkent.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance jointly with the World Bank, was attended by representatives of government agencies, industrial enterprises, financial institutions, international organizations, and the private sector.

At the opening of the event, speeches were delivered by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Umid Abidkhodjayev, World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Najy Benhassine, and others. Special attention was given to priority tasks related to production modernization, the introduction of energy-saving technologies, and the efficient use of resources.

During presentations delivered by international financial institutions and sectoral ministries, industry-specific decarbonization directions, advanced international experience, and promising investment projects were discussed.
