Malaysian creative team presents Bukhara’s historical heritage to the world
With assistance from the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a creative group of students and teachers from the Faculty of Art, Design and Media at MARA University of Technology (UiTM) visited Bukhara.
The visit aims to familiarize the international audience with the city’s rich historical and cultural heritage, including its ancient monuments, distinctive architecture, and tourist attractions, by showcasing them through modern media platforms.

Young photographers and designers from Malaysia were seeking a unique story in every corner of the city. The shoot took place at historical sites in Bukhara, including the Ark Fortress, the Labi Hovuz Ensemble, the Poi Kalon Complex, ancient trade domes, and the Ismail Samani and Chashma Ayub Masoleums.

The guests focused on the traditional craft centers. They captured the craftsmen’s activities, national art samples, and the process of passing unique traditions from one generation to another.
The creative team will distribute content via social networks and YouTube, broadening the reach of Bukhara’s tourism appeal, especially among audiences in Southeast Asia.
These visits help strengthen Bukhara’s tourism brand and create a fresh, lively, and appealing image of the ancient city for international visitors.
