Kunwar Juneja: Uzbekistan’s open economic policy is attracting international investors
The 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum brought together investors, representatives of major companies, and business circles from various countries, creating a prominent international platform that showcases the economic potential of New Uzbekistan and new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
UzA correspondent interviewed Kunwar Juneja, head of the Indian company Twisting Scoops, to discuss the importance of the forum and the investment opportunities in Uzbekistan.

“The Tashkent International Investment Forum is an important platform for strengthening economic cooperation and investment ties in Central Asia”, he noted. “We are closely following the large-scale economic reforms underway in Uzbekistan, including measures to support the private sector and the creation of a favorable environment for foreign investors.
The country’s strategic geographic location, young and active consumer market, and high tourism potential make it particularly attractive for investment. I am confident that the forum will help elevate partnership between the business communities of Uzbekistan and India to a new level.
Today, innovations are rapidly advancing in the food and foodtech sectors, a new consumer culture is taking shape, and interest in international brands is growing. In our activities, we prioritize product quality and the introduction of modern service standards. From this perspective, Uzbekistan’s market has significant potential for us.
I believe that these dialogue platforms aid not only in launching new business projects but also in facilitating the exchange of experiences between entrepreneurs from both countries and fostering long-term partnerships.
Uzbekistan’s rapidly growing and open economy draws the attention of international investors. We are eager to explore opportunities to join promising projects underway in the country”.
