Issues of developing cooperation between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Türkiye discussed
On the sidelines of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Tanzila Narbayeva, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, met with Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.
During the meeting, issues related to cooperation in trade and investment, industry, education, culture, and tourism were discussed. Particular attention was given to strengthening parliamentary oversight, improving the legislative framework, and expanding interregional cooperation to ensure the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
The parties emphasized the importance of maintaining dialogue among the relevant parliamentary committees in the economic, investment, innovation, banking and financial, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

At the same time, readiness was expressed to develop cooperation in the areas of international ratings, the Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring gender equality, and combating corruption and human trafficking.
Following the meeting, a roadmap for 2026-2027 to strengthen cooperation between the parliaments was signed.
