Historic achievement for the Uzbekistan team
The 38th International Olympiad in Informatics in Tashkent marked a historic achievement for the Uzbekistan team.
Four members of the national team received medals: one silver and three bronze.
Jakhonali Khaydaraliyev, a 9th-grade student at the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi School, won a silver medal, while Timur Kadirbergenov and Ulugbek Rakhmatullayev, 11th-grade students at the Presidential Schools in Nukus and Namangan, respectively, and Jakhongirshokh Avazkhonov, a 10th-grade student at the Presidential School in Namangan, won bronze medals.
Sardorbek Salimov, a student at the Presidential School in Navoi, was awarded an Honorable Mention.
This historic achievement reflects the success of digital education reforms designed to support talented students in the country, as well as the dedicated efforts of mentors and youth over many years.
Uzbekistan’s young participants achieved a commendable result alongside the world’s best young programmers, establishing a solid foundation for future international success. This achievement will motivate many thousands of young people.
