Guide-Interpreters for the World Chess Olympiad Have Been Trained
The 46th World Chess Olympiad, the 3rd Para-Chess Olympiad, and the 97th Congress of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) will take place in the city of Samarkand from September 10-30 of this year.
More than 4,000 guests from over 200 countries, including representatives of international organizations and world chess stars, are expected to participate in these events. Currently, intensive preparations are underway in Samarkand to welcome the guests and to organize and host the competitions and the congress at a high level.
The headquarters for preparing and conducting the events, in cooperation with the Samarkand Regional Department of Tourism and the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, organized a training seminar for guides.

The seminar focused on enhancing the professional skills of guides and providing guests with detailed and accurate information about Samarkand's historical and cultural heritage and its attractions. Practical recommendations were also given on working with tourists, organizing tour services, and providing guests with high-quality service.
During the training, measures were outlined for placing essential information for guests at event venues, Samarkand International Airport, the railway station, hotels, tourist sites, restaurants, and other locations, as well as for providing tour guide services.
