From Dream to Future: Girls’ Rights, Choices, and Opportunities
An online campaign “From Dream to Future: Girls’ Rights, Choices and Opportunities” has been launched at the initiative of the Youth Parliament and UNFPA in Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by young people, government officials, women from various sectors, experts, and representatives of international organizations.
The main discussions were attended by Malika Kadirkhanova, a member of the Senate Committee on Youth, Women, Culture and Sports of the Oliy Majlis, Nigina Abaszada, UNFPA Resident Representative in Uzbekistan, and Renata Vrubel, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan.

The speakers highlighted the importance of creating conditions for girls to receive quality education, demonstrate their abilities, and participate in decision-making processes. It was noted that supporting young women’s initiatives, empowering them, and helping them take their rightful place in society are of particular significance.
This initiative is being implemented as part of the regional program “Challenging Harmful Attitudes and Norms for Gender Equality” (CHANGE), which is funded by the European Union.
Running until March 8, 2027, the campaign aims to broaden dialogue on women’s rights, freedom of choice, and opportunities, while fostering a social environment that empowers women to pursue their dreams and goals.
The event marked the launch of the nationwide online media challenge “From Dream to Future”.
