Feruza Eshmatova elected as Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights

At a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputies considered the issue of electing the Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman).

In accordance with paragraph 16 of Article 93 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Article 6 of the Law “On the Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman)”, Feruza Eshmatova was recommended for the position.

Following a question-and-answer session and discussions, the deputies elected Ms. Eshmatova as the Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman).
