Digital technologies create new opportunities across economic sectors

The latest technologies and solutions are being showcased at the ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 international exhibition, currently underway in Tashkent.

Under the theme “Advancing All Intelligence”, Huawei highlighted its cutting-edge technologies, including 5G, 5.5G, optical, wired, and enterprise networks, cloud platforms, data storage, and AI infrastructure. Wang Qi, Vice President for Central Asia, noted the rapid growth of digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan and stressed the need for continued collaboration on 5G deployment, digital services, and artificial intelligence.

“Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities for businesses, government, and society”, Wang Qi said. “Huawei will continue to collaborate with telecommunications operators, government organizations, and businesses to support Uzbekistan’s digital development. Particular attention will be given to developing networks, cloud technologies, computing capacity, and artificial intelligence”.

The exhibition highlights solutions for digital banking infrastructure in finance, intelligent systems in transport and logistics, cloud and video analytics for retail, and digital content management for media. Huawei Cloud, OceanStor storage systems, and AI computing infrastructure enable large-scale data storage and processing.

The event also emphasized training professionals for the digital industry, sharing details about the Huawei ICT Academy programs and the upcoming Huawei ICT Competition 2026-2027.
