China leads in the number of foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan

According to the National Statistics Committee, as of 1 August 2026, 20,973 enterprises with foreign investment were operating in Uzbekistan.

Of these, 4,685 were joint ventures, and 16,288 were foreign enterprises.

Over the past five years, the total number of operating enterprises with foreign investment has increased 1.7-fold.

China ranked first by the number of enterprises with foreign investment, with 6,241 companies, followed by Russia with 3,512 and Türkiye with 2,327.

Kazakhstan ranked fourth with 1,321 enterprises, while the Republic of Korea accounted for 730 and Afghanistan for 706.

Azerbaijan had 492 enterprises with foreign investment, Tajikistan 467, the United Arab Emirates 453, and India 439.
