Chairperson of the Senate meets with parliamentarians from Central Asian countries
Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva held meetings with parliamentarians from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan as part of the Asian Women’s Forum in Bukhara.
During the meetings, issues related to strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, enhancing the role of women in society, and expanding cooperation in digital technologies and environmental initiatives were discussed.
During the conversation with the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, issues of cooperation in transport and transit, as well as the broad involvement of women in digital technologies, were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening women’s economic activity by improving their knowledge and skills in modern technologies.

During the meeting with Deputy Chairperson of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Daniya Yespayeva, issues of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, interparliamentary cooperation, and support for women were discussed. It was noted that friendly relations between the two countries serve as a solid foundation for sustainable development and regional cooperation.
Also, during the conversation with Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jyldyz Taalaibek kyzy, issues such as strengthening friendship and good-neighborly relations between the two countries, developing women’s leadership, and expanding interparliamentary ties were discussed.

Special attention at the meetings was given to increasing women’s participation in education, innovation and digital technologies. It was emphasized that women with modern knowledge and technological skills play an important role in the development of society.
The Chairperson of the Senate also noted that supporting women’s participation in developing the green economy and implementing environmental initiatives is a priority.
