A seven-year-old chess player from Uzbekistan competes in the Asian Championships
The 20th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2026 is underway in Tula, Russia.
Chess players from 12 countries are competing. Seven-year-old Muhammadyusuf Bahromov represents Uzbekistan.


After six rounds, Uzbekistan’s young chess player secured four wins and two draws. As a result, he finished in second place with 5 points.
In the seventh round, Muhammadyusuf will face Roman Yanovsky of Russia, who is ranked third with 4.5 points.
The Asian Championships will run until October 8.
