A dialogue that benefits all parties
The Second Interregional Forum “Uzbekistan – Tajikistan” was held at the Aydarkul Resort in Jizzakh region.
Foreign delegations were greeted in accordance with Uzbek national customs. At the organized exhibitions, the regions’ economic potential and industrial capacities were showcased.
The forum was opened by Jamshid Khodjayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Kholiqzoda Hokim Hikmatulloh, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan.
With the participation of the Hokim of Jizzakh region Ulugbek Mustafayev, the Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Qosimov, and the leaders of Sughd and Khatlon regions of Tajikistan, a mutually beneficial dialogue took place.
Issues related to expanding interregional ties, developing industrial cooperation, implementing investment projects, and increasing trade volumes were discussed.
Products showcased at the “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition helped form a new partnership between entrepreneurs from both countries.
Agreements and memoranda were signed to promote stronger trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between Jizzakh and Surkhandarya regions of Uzbekistan and Sughd and Khatlon regions of Tajikistan.
