Uzbekistan and Chinese researchers have established a new joint research laboratory
The Uzbekistan – China joint research laboratory has opened at the National Research Institute of Renewable Energy under the Ministry of Energy.

The event featured remarks by Umid Mamadaminov, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shi Guanghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Professor Guo Hongfei, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University of Technology.
The laboratory was founded as part of the Belt and Road Initiative through collaboration between the National Research Institute of Renewable Energy under the Ministry of Energy and Inner Mongolia University of Technology. Its work will encompass joint scientific research in areas such as solar, wind, and hydrogen energy, as well as energy storage technologies, intelligent energy systems, and artificial intelligence.
Following the event, participants gained an understanding of the institute’s activities, scientific and technological progress, and advanced research facilities.
