The World Bank supports Uzbekistan's urban development reforms
The National Committee for Sustainable Development of Urbanization and the Housing Market in Uzbekistan, with the participation of World Bank representatives, held a regular meeting on urbanization and the sustainable development of territories.
The current processes of urbanization in Uzbekistan, the introduction of modern urban planning practices, and reforms aimed at creating favorable living conditions for the population were discussed at the meeting.

The organization and institutional support for the Uzbekistan delegation’s participation in the World Urban Forum were considered.
Support for current and planned reforms in the field, as well as the introduction of digital technologies and modern methods in urban planning, was also discussed.

It was decided to organize advanced training courses and special educational programs for Committee members, with the participation of professors from leading European universities.
It was noted that joint projects play a key role in the integrated development of cities, the formation of modern infrastructure, and the improvement of people’s quality of life.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation and implement joint initiatives and projects.
