The projects aimed at the development of the labor market are considered
Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with Peter van Rooij, the ILO Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
At the meeting, it was noted that in recent years Uzbekistan has been steadily improving social and labor relations, strengthening mechanisms for social dialogue, and ensuring compliance with international labor standards.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ILO, as well as the results of reforms implemented in the areas of labor, employment, and social partnership.
The parties also exchanged views on the draft Decent Work Country Programme for 2026-2030.

Joint projects aimed at developing the labor market, increasing employment and strengthening people’s social protection were also considered.
The importance of further developing constructive cooperation to improve the efficiency of work in labor relations was emphasized.
