The China-Central Asia format promotes regional peace and supports sustainable development
A delegation, led by Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During a meeting with Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, the parties addressed ways to strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and China, enhance interparliamentary cooperation, and broaden practical engagement within the Central Asia – China framework.
To improve cooperation, it was suggested to increase regular dialogue between parliamentary leaders, strengthen interparliamentary cooperation groups, expand contacts among relevant committees, share legislative experience, and host joint parliamentary and expert events.

Uzbekistan is interested in studying China’s experience in regional development, poverty reduction, digitalization of public administration, advancement of the green economy, personnel training, and innovation promotion.
The meeting also featured a discussion on expanding cooperation between political parties. It was noted that the Central Asia – China format offers new opportunities to enhance regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
