President of Uzbekistan receives investors from the UAE

On the sidelines of the inaugural meeting of the Energy Sector Investors Council in Tashkent, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received executives from leading companies of the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, and Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of AMEA Power.

The participants welcomed the steady progress in the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE. Bilateral trade has grown by 40 percent since the beginning of the year, while both countries continue to advance major investment projects.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate and expand joint projects in green energy, modern infrastructure, cross-industry cooperation, tourism and the services sector.
