President of Uzbekistan advocates expansion of the multifaceted partnership with Kazakhstan

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov on the sidelines of the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum.

Olzhas Bektenov conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan sincere greetings and kind wishes from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Current issues regarding deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were discussed.

Intensive contacts at all levels were noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover is growing, and cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy continue to be implemented under the recently adopted new roadmap.

The importance of thorough preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the first Council of Heads of Regions, to be held in the city of Aktau in July this year, was emphasized.
