International Central Asian Student Sports Forum kicks off

The 1st International Central Asian Student Sports Forum has kicked off in Tashkent. As part of the forum, Uzbekistan and the International University Sports Federation (FISU) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

On the first day of the international forum, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov met with representatives of the leadership of FISU and the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF).

The meeting focused on developing university sports in Uzbekistan, encouraging greater youth participation in mass sports, strengthening international cooperation in university sports, and ensuring the forum is held to a high standard.

Following the meeting, Uzbekistan and the International University Sports Federation signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document aims to develop university sports, facilitate the exchange of international experience, and expand cooperation in this field. 

The 1st International Central Asian Student Sports Forum runs through October 2.
