IICA and CAREC Institute discuss the development of regional cooperation
A meeting was held at the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) with a delegation from the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute, led by its Director, Charymuhammet Shallyyev.
The parties discussed the current state of their interaction and prospects for expanding cooperation between the two institutions.
During the meeting, Charymuhammet Shallyyev noted that the Asian Development Bank places particular importance on strengthening its partnership with Uzbekistan and supporting innovative projects in the country. He highlighted the signing of a new $12 billion program at the 59th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors in Samarkand, aimed at developing infrastructure, strengthening human capital, and reducing poverty, as an important milestone in cooperation.

Participants discussed promising areas of cooperation between IICA and the CAREC Institute, including joint research on renewable energy, green financing, and artificial intelligence technologies.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop practical cooperation, including organizing working visits, expert meetings, and joint initiatives, both bilaterally and on multilateral platforms.
