Enhancing cooperation in state-owned real estate management
An online seminar on state-owned real estate management brought together representatives from the State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Germany’s Institute for Federal Real Estate (BImA), the German Federal Ministry of Finance, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and Indecon Consulting.
The event focused on Germany’s approach to managing state-owned real estate, modern management methods, and sharing practical expertise.
During the seminar, the German side presented its experience in managing federal state-owned real estate, including efficient use of properties, technical maintenance, and the digitalization of management processes. Participants also discussed transferring state-owned real estate assets to centralized management, maintaining digital asset registers, and bringing unused or inefficiently used state property into economic circulation.
The seminar also explored opportunities for further collaboration, including planning an experience exchange in state-owned real estate management across three stages.
The first stage includes online training seminars for Agency specialists. The second stage will involve a visit by German experts to Uzbekistan to identify promising areas for cooperation. The third stage provides for a practical visit by an Agency delegation to Germany to study BImA’s activities and mechanisms for managing state-owned real estate.
Following the seminar, participants discussed opportunities to apply Germany’s advanced experience in light of Uzbekistan’s conditions, as well as priority areas for further partnership.
