Development of interregional cooperation discussed
A delegation from the Hokimiyat of Samarkand region attended the Third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan in Minsk and met with the leadership of Grodno region.
During the talks, Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region Khurshidbek Samiyev and Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Yuri Karayev discussed enhancing interregional cooperation, exploring opportunities to boost trade and economic ties, and advancing joint investment initiatives.
Special focus was given to collaboration in crucial sectors such as industry, agriculture, construction material manufacturing, education, and tourism.
The parties discussed ways to strengthen direct interactions between entrepreneurs, coordinate mutual business missions, pursue joint production initiatives, and promote the exchange of expertise among professionals.
During the meeting, a proposal was made to establish a partnership between Pastdargom district of Samarkand region and Lida district of Grodno region.
The delegation from Samarkand region visited Grodno State Agrarian University and held a meeting with Rector Valentin Peshko.
During the discussions, the primary emphasis was on enhancing collaboration in education, scientific research, and agriculture. They explored opportunities to strengthen the partnership, such as exchanging teachers and students, conducting joint research projects, adopting advanced agricultural technologies, and providing professional development for experts.
