Artificial intelligence is also transforming the textile industry
The garment industry is approaching another technological turning point today. If the first sewing machines, which emerged during the Industrial Revolution in the early 19th century, fundamentally transformed clothing production, that transformation is now being elevated to a new stage with artificial intelligence. At that time, mechanical devices improved by Elias Howe and Isaac Singer performed simple stitching tasks and increased labor productivity several times over. Today, HIKARI is continuing this historical process with digital and intelligent technologies.
The presentation ceremony in Namangan became a practical manifestation of this new era. At the event organized by INTECH, HIKARI’s latest innovative sewing machines were demonstrated to the public. The event generated great interest not only among major manufacturers but also among young tailors and entrepreneurs.
At the presentation, the company’s Founder and CEO, Mr. Wu, attended and provided detailed information about the capabilities of the new-generation machines. According to him, modern sewing equipment is no longer just a mechanical device but has become an intelligent platform equipped with an artificial intelligence system that analyzes and optimizes the production process.
The event was also attended by heads of sewing factories, engineers, and experienced tailors from Namangan, Andijan, Fergana, and other regions. Participants had the opportunity to test the new machines firsthand. In particular, technological solutions that enhance energy efficiency and increase productivity attracted significant attention.
Entrepreneur from Andijan, Isroil Uraemov, also did not hide his interest in new technologies: “We have previously purchased sewing machines from HIKARI. Our interest in the new models has also increased. We are planning to purchase AI-powered models to improve the quality of our products and ease our tailors’ work”, he said.
In addition, Muhammad Dosanov, the head of the INTECH representative company, shared his views on the industry’s prospects. According to him, Uzbekistan’s textile industry is actively participating in the global competitive environment today, and without modern technologies, it is difficult to maintain a competitive advantage.
During the presentation, games and lotteries were also held for the participants. As a result, three lucky participants received HIKARI’s new sewing machines. Following the event, several cooperation agreements were signed. This indicates that the company is seriously entering the Uzbekistan market and striving to establish long-term cooperation with local manufacturers.
According to experts, sewing machines equipped with artificial intelligence not only increase production speed but also elevate quality control to a new level. This could strengthen the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s textile industry in the international market.
