A modern poultry complex has been launched in Saykhunabad.
In accordance with directives issued during the head of state's 2024 visit to the Saykhunabad district, a large-scale production complex based on modern technologies has been launched in the Yangi Hayot mahalla. The facility was built on the site of an old livestock farm that had been vacant and used inefficiently for many years.
Here, "ABDUL RAZAK OTA EXPORT" Limited Liability Company has launched the first phase of a modern poultry complex with a total value of 20 million US dollars and a capacity to raise 230,000 birds.
Notably, this project was implemented in partnership with the "Parrandasanoat" Association of Uzbekistan. It was financed through the investor's own funds and a commercial bank loan.
The opening ceremony of the enterprise was attended by Ulugbek Ahmedov, First Deputy Chairman of the "Parrandasanoat" Association of Uzbekistan; representatives of the district administration; investors; company employees; community elders and labor veterans; staff from the Syrdarya regional branch of "Microcreditbank" JSCB; and media representatives.
Speakers at the event highlighted the large-scale efforts being undertaken in our country to further improve the investment climate, create broad opportunities for local and foreign investors, and establish production facilities based on modern technologies. It was also emphasized that developing the poultry industry is a key factor in meeting the population's demand for high-quality, safe food products, creating new jobs, and increasing export potential.
Today, poultry farming is becoming one of the most rapidly developing sectors of animal husbandry. The population's growing demand for poultry meat and eggs necessitates introducing modern technologies to the industry, breeding highly productive poultry stock, creating a solid feed base, and expanding product processing capacities. In this sense, the significance of this complex built in Saykhunabad is even greater. The production processes at the enterprise are organized using modern automated technologies, and all necessary conditions have been created for employees to work efficiently.
— The complex you see now is designed to raise 200,000–230,000 chicks. In the second phase of the project, we aim to increase the number of birds to 400,000. Our enterprise operates in the breeding poultry sector. We plan to export the breeding eggs produced here to neighboring countries, — says Abdulloh Vohob, head of "ABDUL RAZAK OTA EXPORT" LLC.

The complex also has high export potential. A certain portion of the products grown and produced at the complex will be directed to foreign markets, with a target of securing 4 million US dollars in annual export revenues.
It was announced that on September 17 of this year, the import of highly productive breeding chicks from European countries is planned. They will be raised for 20 weeks using modern technologies. Afterward, they will be transferred to the egg-laying stage, and the production of breeding eggs will be established.
According to the company's management, the future goal is for this complex to achieve an annual production of up to 35 million eggs. The plan is to export 70 percent of the products to neighboring countries and supply the remaining 30 percent to the domestic market. On one hand, this will help meet the population's demand for high-quality eggs and other poultry products; on the other, it will create new opportunities to increase the export potential of the Saykhunabad district.
— Through this project, 150 unemployed citizens have been provided with permanent jobs. In the future, by further expanding the project, we aim to increase the number of employees to 250–300, — says the head of the complex, Abdulloh Vohob.
The project initiators do not intend to limit themselves solely to egg production. Currently, large-scale work is also underway to establish facilities for poultry meat processing and poultry feed production.
In particular, a system of cooperation with the local population is planned. Under this system, households will be supplied with chicks to be raised for meat. After the residents raise them to a specified weight according to expert recommendations, the finished product will be bought back by the enterprise.
This system will not only create an additional source of income for the population but will also serve to develop household-based entrepreneurship and cooperative relations. The enterprise's specialists will provide practical assistance to the public on the proper care, feeding, and productivity enhancement of the poultry.
The finished products will be processed and supplied to the domestic market. As a result, the population will be provided with high-quality poultry meat, and many households will have the opportunity to earn additional income through poultry farming.
Establishing a strong feed base is also crucial for the stable and efficient operation of large-scale complexes. Therefore, the investor is consistently moving forward with organizing poultry feed production workshops.
Key raw materials, such as sorghum and wheat, are purchased from farmers and the local population. This will create another stable market for local agricultural producers. Some products, like soy, are imported, while essential vitamins and vaccines for the chicks are sourced from European countries.
According to the plans, three feed production workshops will be established in the Saykhunobod district. Each workshop will have the capacity to produce up to 20 tons of finished poultry feed per hour. These enterprises are also expected to create additional jobs.
The investor is also implementing large-scale poultry projects in other parts of the Sirdaryo region. Specifically, four months ago, a poultry complex designed for 200,000 chickens was launched in the "Ravot" mahalla of the Sardoba district.
This project, valued at 15 million US dollars, was another important step toward the industry's development. Additionally, a number of poultry complexes have been established in the Paxtaobod area of the Sardoba district.
It is reported that the investor has launched four major projects to date, and this complex in Saykhunobod is one of the next major investment projects in this sector.
The future goal is to increase the chick-rearing capacity to 1 million head by 2030 and to sharply increase the production volume of eggs and chick products.
The projects being implemented in the Saykhunobod district are not limited to just poultry farming.
"In the 'Farovon' small industrial zone of the district, the investor is also carrying out construction on a 'Poultry Slaughter, Packaging, and Freezing' project with a total value of 5 million US dollars," says Deputy District Hokim G'ayrat Xoliqberdiyev.
The enterprise, scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2027, will create the capacity to process 50,000 tons of broiler poultry meat annually. As a result, an additional 30 new jobs will be created, and there are plans to increase the export of poultry meat and other poultry products to 1.1 million US dollars.
The implementation of these projects will enable the formation of a complete production cycle—from poultry farming and feed preparation to meat processing, packaging, and delivering the finished products to domestic and foreign markets.
According to the project investor, the favorable environment created in our country for investors, the practical support provided to entrepreneurs, and the system for promptly resolving issues provide a great incentive for implementing new investment projects.
"The most important things for us are the opportunities created for business, stability, and peace. Today, under the leadership of our President, a comprehensively favorable business environment is being created for investors. Practical assistance is provided in allocating land, connecting to engineering and communication networks, resolving logistics issues, and creating the necessary infrastructure for investment projects.
Crucially, a constant dialogue has been established with investors, and special attention is paid to finding prompt solutions to the problems they face. Such a favorable and reliable environment encourages investors like us to implement new projects and expand our production capacity.
That is why we are continuing to implement new investment projects in Uzbekistan," says the project investor, Afghan entrepreneur Abdul Haq Abdurazzoq.
According to him, over 700 people have been employed through various projects to date. The goal is to increase the number of created jobs to over 1,000 by the end of the year.
Undoubtedly, this modern poultry complex built in the "Yangi Hayot" mahalla will play an important role in the economic development of the Saykhunobod district.
The transformation of a once-inefficiently used territory into a modern, 20-million-dollar production complex is a practical result of the investment climate being created and the reforms being implemented in our country.
The new jobs being created here will become a source of stable income for hundreds of people. The products manufactured will serve to supply the population with high-quality food, while those intended for export will make a worthy contribution to increasing our country's economic potential.
Encouragingly, a new cooperative system is forming around this project, uniting the public, farmers, and entrepreneurs. The effective use of local raw materials, working with the community on a cooperative basis, establishing modern feed production workshops, and processing and exporting poultry meat—all of this will help create a complete economic value chain in Saykhunabad.
In an area that was neglected and used inefficiently just yesterday, production has now been launched based on modern technologies. Tomorrow, this complex will undoubtedly become a major economic hub that not only manufactures products but also creates decent jobs for hundreds of people, an additional source of income for many households, and new export opportunities for the district.
