On August 14, 2019, Tashkent hosted a presentation of Georgia’s tourism potential. The meeting was held with participation of 9 leading Georgian companies in MICE corporate and business tourism and 80 tour operators of Uzbekistan on the initiative of Georgian National Tourism Administration and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Uzbekistan Zurab Abdushelishvili addressed the event. The Ambassador welcomed guests and noted the importance of these joint events in implementation and development of tourism potential of the two countries.

Tourism Business Development Manager at the National Tourism Administration of Georgia Magda Sanikidze made a presentation on tourism potential of Georgia.

The presentation included B2B meetings between tour operators of both countries, where the exchange of views and best practices, opening of new tourist destinations took place.
